Feature of the Month – Jing Yee Seah

Shalom Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

I am Jing Yee from FCAP Singapore. It is a privilege and a joy to share my background with you in this brief introduction. I graduated with a degree in Engineering and have worked in the local airline industry for 18 years, providing documentation support in the Flight Operations division. By the grace and mercy of God, I encountered the Lord at an evangelistic event organized by FCAP Singapore in 2012. That encounter marked the beginning of my journey with God and with fellow FCAPers in the workplace.

For several years since the conversion, I attended the weekly bible studies in our office conducted by some of our FCAPers who faithfully fed us on the richness and truth of God’s Word. There were also prayer meetings held weekly and monthly, and FCAP became a training ground that equipped me in the Word, preparing me for service through exercising our giftings in serving God and one another. What I observed was that despite our varying backgrounds in doctrinal beliefs and denominations, we have embraced and encouraged one another more than the times we have differed in views or opinions, praise God! Looking back over these years, I am thankful God has allowed me to grow under the leadership, mentorship, and encouragement of FCAP leaders Alan Chan and Eric Yip. They see the gold nugget in every FCAPer through God’s lens, sowing generously into the lives of many, and good fruit has come forth.

Over the last 3-4 years I gradually transited into the current leadership of FCAP. It was a season where God is propelling the next generation leaders to rise up and put our trust in the Great Shepherd despite the ongoing uncertainties and stormy challenges. Discouragement, fears, distractions, and doubts can easily creep in to hinder the next generation leaders from moving up and into their callings. The wisdom, revelations, teachings, and prayers from our previous FCAP leadership provided much stability in the last 2 years and ultimately drew us to the one thing that is needed, God himself. Be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10). The only way to ride out the storm is to anchor our hearts in God’s Word and promises and to abide in His presence. Like the prophet Habakkuk, we need to cling to Him and not allow the storm to distract us nor deter us from our God-given assignments. God’s leadership over us is perfect and He is peace in the midst of every storm. God assured that He will be guiding the current leadership of FCAP into a new season that is going to be different from the last season. Just as Moses was sent to deliver Israel out of Egypt and Joshua was one to conquer and possess Israel’s inheritance, Moses’ calling differs from Joshua’s, but God was with each of them, and He is the one who grants victory over the enemies in every generation. The Lord is our Banner! In such intense times, we need to draw near to God and seek His wisdom more than ever before.

God will continue to use every generation to advance His Kingdom on earth until He returns. I believe great strength, anointing and blessing is released when all generations of FCAP come together in unity to fulfill our roles. Pray alongside with us that we will be steadfast and faithful to walk out God’s purposes for FCAP in this new season, and may He be glorified! God bless.

“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead,
that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
make you complete in every good work to do His will,
working in you what is well pleasing in His sight,
through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
