Fellowship Of Christian Airline Personnel

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Human relationships are necessary to our well-being, in the air or on the ground. If this is true, how much more essential are our individual relationships with Jesus? Perhaps God’s greatest purpose in creating human beings was to give us the opportunity to be in intimate contact with Him.

Community is bound up in the very nature of God. Within the Godhead, the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist in perfect relationship with one another. When we were created, we were designed to live in deep communion with the One who created us. Deep calls to deep between our Lord and ourselves because we were made for Him, to ultimately be with Him in the deepest, most profound way possible.  According to the Westminster Confession, “Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.” This is our highest calling as Christians. It is the primary reason we exist and the source of our highest joy.

“Jesus answered him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.’ “
John 14:23
