Do any of you who work aboard real aircraft also enjoy flying remote-control model versions of the same? Do not assume God has a problem with you keeping that, perhaps lifelong, hobby now that you are a believer.
Not everything from our pre-Christian lives is something God is somehow sternly demanding we remove from our existence.
Some things, for instance, only need to be put in their proper perspective under the Lordship of Christ. They must become less important to us, but they need not be wholly banished.
Other aspects of our prior existence as non-believers can even become a part of our ministry, like an earthly passion that we now use to spread the gospel in some way (while at the same time allowing that interest to continue to entertain and fulfill us personally).
