DR. CHARLES STANLEY served in the pastorate of several churches over the years, his latest being Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Atlanta for over five decades His television and radio broadcasts spanned the world, as did numerous books he authored. He was also founder of In Touch Ministries. Many aviation personnel have been recipients of blessing and encouragement through his worldwide ministry.
GEORGE VERWER was founder of Operation Mobilisation based in Tyrone, Georgia. The OM ministry became one of the largest mission organizations of the 20th century, sending out thousands every year on short- and long-term trips. Currently the ministry has 3,300 adult workers from 134 countries working in 147 countries, with additional mission agencies starting as a result of their contact with OM. Many times OM has been a tremendous resource for FCAP in administrative and outreach matters.
FCAP is truly grateful for both of these men. They faithfully and passionately followed the Lord in sharing the Gospel throughout the nations of the world. Through their lives and ministries, many in the worldwide aviation industry have been blessed and encouraged in the faith. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and respective ministries.
