Have a flight attendant or gate agent pal who is your “bestie?” It is good to know that, whoever our best friend is on earth, our truest friend is both in Heaven and in our hearts.
At the Last Supper, Jesus simply declared what the disciples must have already known to be true. He called them friends, for that was what they had become to Him…and He was there also. Right now, you, Christian are also His friend, and He is even more than that to you, Our Lord is also the One who loves and likes you perfectly. Think about that reality and its ramifications and let your heart be joyful. Jesus Christ is not just your friend. He is your best friend.
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15
