Oftentimes Christians have trouble grasping the profound plans God has for his children.
As finite, fallen human beings this is not surprising. It is good, though, to meditate on the staggering promises made in the Bible to each and every one of us who believe.
God, in Christ, ultimately wants to share His very nature with us, to in some sense enable us to know the experience of His absolute blessedness to the extent we can as created beings. From what is a logically biblical perspective this is our Lord’s goal for us, beginning in this life and being brought to fullness in the next.
He not only lovingly desires our presence with Him but, beyond that, God also longs for us to actually somehow share in His eternal character.
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man
the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” -1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (NKJV)
