If you find that being in healthy crew work relationships is a challenge, don’t be surprised. Building relationships can be hard work, and that building is always, in a sense, “in progress.”
It is only the loving grace of God that enables real change, and our reception of that grace is, to at least some extent, dependent on our choice whether to accept it. Even once we do choose to accept it the process of change is just that, a process, and most likely will involve a slow movement towards authentically deepening relationships with both our Lord and our fellow human beings.
In the meantime, it may feel like our relationships continue to be inadequate. This is not necessarily something about which to be alarmed.
The important thing is that we are finally moving in the right direction.
