Have you ever been angry with God? Most Christians won’t admit to it, but many have experienced it.
It is fair to say that a Perfect Being might prefer for the sin of anger to not be compounded by the sin of hypocrisy, and this is what we do sometimes when we bring our false, “pious” selves to God in prayer.
If we are not feeling warm, fuzzy feelings towards others, even towards our Lord it is better if we are honest, even brutally honest, with Him about how we are really feeling.
At least such honesty “clears the air” and sometimes leads us beyond the anger to what might really be ailing us. Things like pain, hurt, and loss.
Our Lord is not insecure. While we are never truly justified in being angry with Him He is not shocked when some of us are.
“O Lord, you have searched me and known me!” -Psalm 139:1 (ESV)
