When climbing out in overcast conditions the sun is obscured until we “break out on top” as pilots used to say. Then it shines in all its brightness. We experience the sun out our clear cockpit or cabin windows as it really is, no longer seeing “through a glass darkly” because of gray clouds.
In heavenly worship we will be caught up into our Lord as we only taste Him on Earth.
In our present frame we just can’t fully grasp how wondrous this will be. It will be the answer to our heart’s truest desire. What could be better than experiencing full connection with Him? This is what we were born and reborn for! It is our destiny and our purpose.
We were made to glorify our Lord and Savior and we will not be truly whole and happy until we can do so in the paradise of His absolute presence in His Son, Jesus Christ, in the place that Son prepared for us.
“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known” -1st Corinthians 13:2 (KJV)
