ENFOQUE La mayoría de la gente considera el trabajo fundamentalmente como una fuente de ingresos, y algunos lo ven casi como un castigo de Dios. El Fellowship of Christian Airlines Personnel (FCAP) cree que Dios le dá gran valor al trabajo y que está profundamente interesado en la calidad de nuestro rendimiento y en nuestras relaciones con nuestros compañeros de trabajo y jefes. Reconocemos que tanto nuestro trabajo como la manera en que nos relacionamos con las personas que nos rodean es de gran importancia para Dios. Por lo tanto, nuestra misión es: “Representar a Cristo en la industria aérea estableciendo relaciones humanas significativas y realizando un trabajo de calidad.” PROPOSITO El FCAP tiene un doble propósito: (1) Alentar a los cristianos a caminar con el Señor Jesucristo, disfrutando Su presencia y apropiando Su poder para ser sal y luz en los centros de trabajo donde Dios los ha colocado. (2) Exhortar a los empleados de aviación cristianos a llevar a cabo la Gran Comisión, presentándole el Señor Jesucristo a sus compañeros de trabajo, y ayudándoles a madurar espiritualmente. HISTORIA El ministerio de FCAP comenzó en el 1973 como resultado de una reunión de 50 empleados provenientes de ocho diferentes aerolíneas en los Estados Unidos y Canadá, los cuáles se reunieron para encontrar la forma en que Dios deseaba que sirvieran a Cristo en y a través de la industria aérea. Hoy en día el ministerio de FCAP se ha expandido a 90 ciudades y 44 países en el mundo entero. FCAP es una comunidad de creyentes no una asociación donde se cobran mensualidades. Se espera que los creyentes que componen las células individuales sean leales a Cristo, a su Palabra y al cuerpo de creyentes, y se insta a que los mismos estudien las Escrituras con regularidad. Nuestra oración y ruego es que Dios nos use para establecer un grupo de cristianos que crezcan y sean una fuente de luz para Cristo en cada aerolínea o domicilio aéreo en el mundo, a través de su relación personal con Cristo y su labor conjunta en este campo misionero.
