The Seamless Union: A Glimpse of Divine Oneness

Our God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We, individually, might be said to be body, soul, and spirit. Coincidence?

Even as created and fallen human beings, we ourselves know something of an internal wedding of body, soul, and spirit. In fact, we do not ever precisely know where the dividing line is between the three. There is a union between them, but also a separation, a distinctness.

All exist, as one, in a kind of harmony most fully, if not only, present in a redeemed person.

This is perhaps a very, very faint echo of one aspect of the Holy Trinity. That it appears to be present in us, if true, is perhaps a function of our being made in the image of God.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” Genesis 1:26 (ESV)
