Often error comes into the world in pairs… pairs of opposites. In his unique way, CS Lewis in his book Mere Christianity describes how this works. “Satan always sends errors into the world in pairs – pairs of opposites. And he always encourages us to spend a lot of time thinking which is the worse. You see why, of course? He relies on your extra dislike of the one error to draw you gradually into the opposite one. But do not let us be fooled. We have to keep our eyes on the goal and go straight through between both errors. We have no other concern than that with either of them.”  Do you feel paralyzed at times with the many opposite and extreme views being presented to us today? Our purpose as Christians is clear… we have been given a high calling to live for the purpose and glory of God. We are told to advance in God’s purposes by keeping our eyes on the goal (Philippians 3:13-14). How do you see God’s purpose defining every area of your life? PMC  Consider this: “We make it our ambition to be pleasing to God” (2 Corinthians 5:9).
