On June 4-7, a conference was held for the International Association of Missionary Aviation (IAMA). It was hosted by Missionary Flights International (MFI) in Fort Pierce, FL. FCAP’s Office and Ministry Manager, Jenni Ashmore, had the privilege of representing FCAP at this conference. Not only did she have opportunity to share with the group about the influence FCAP had in her own life over the course of her aviation career, but she also related how FCAP is reaching out to the next generation of pilots, mechanics and other airline/aviation personnel to glorify God. Hearing reports from other mission organizations provided great insight into the vast mission field that exists in aviation as well as the needs and challenges faced in reaching out in response.
Jenni reports that a highlight of the conference was the banquet where guest speaker, Nard Pugyao, a Filipino, told his story from salvation to missionary thanks to Bibles translated into his dialect. What a small world it is … our FCAP General Director, Paul Curtas, and Nard have known each other for many years. In fact, Paul officiated in Nard and Sandy’s wedding.
This is all a fresh reminder of how God connects His people throughout the world for His purposes and for His glory!
