On January 18 our Workplace Training #2, “Engaging at the Workplace,” was officially inaugurated in Atlanta. Fifteen people were in attendance. This training builds upon our first training session (“On the Job…God’s Way”), and anyone who has completed the first one is eligible to attend the second one. We are looking forward to taking Workplace Training #2 on the road this year. If you have completed the first training and would like more information about Workplace Training #2, please contact Edward Church at the FCAP Office. And if you have not yet attended our first session, “On the Job…God’s Way,” please refer to the home page of this web site for dates and locations as well as sign up information.
Had another great day on May 2 of FCAP Workplace Training, this time in Orlando. Delta flight attendant Jaye Carpentieri and husband Andrew opened their home for us. Ten were in attendance, representing five different airlines. In the group picture at the top, the two on the far right are father and daughter, both pilots but working for two different airlines.
Jaye’s dining room became our classroom, and during break and meal times we enjoyed delicious food and wonderful fellowship were enjoyed by all. Thank you, Jaye and Andrew, for your gracious hospitality and all the preparations you put forth to make this training possible.
On Monday, April 25, it was our privilege to conduct a FCAP Workplace Training in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum served as a gorgeous setting for this time. Our General Director, Paul Curtas, writes, “The training was wonderful with the 18 who attended. It was an eager and engaging group. Thankful to God for the people he has put in the airline workplace to be His light.”
Here is a recent update from our FCAP family in Frankfurt:
“What a great start to the year 2016! On January 9 we had the privilege of Paul and Claudette Curtas coming by to conduct a whole day seminar on how to be light and salt for Jesus at our work. Even people from outside FCAP work fields came by. Everybody got a more God-sized view of work as Paul helped us to understand how church history let us forget about that view, how to deal with stress at work, with people and so on … and how to stay connected to God’s spirit while at work. Besides good biblical training, his and his wife’s love for HIS kingdom and us is so contagious that we all had great fellowship and fun! Contagious also is our Jesus in FRA to other sheep at our airline and airport. In recent months, Daddy God brought by some of HIS children who have not been at the group for a long time, and also some who did not know about the group yet. Even some new to the Christian faith came by and are making steps toward becoming a disciple of Christ. We look forward to the group becoming continuously stronger in Christ and bigger in size, as Jesus has good plans for us!”
On January 9 Paul and Claudette Curtas conducted our FCAP Workplace Training in Frankfurt, Germany. It was a wonderful group made up of airline personnel, a lawyer, teachers, a sales person, a pharmacist, and bankers. Twenty-two in all made up this fantastic group of people who seemed to thoroughly enjoy the training.
