The Body of Christ present throughout the airlines of the world is a mosaic from every people and place, beautifully diverse yet united in Christ. Our FCAP family in Singapore is indeed a beautiful part of this mosaic. It is always a blessing for us to hear from those within our FCAP family who are both near and far away. Thank you, Eric Yip, for sharing with us the above photo of the group meeting in your part of the world.
Every year, generally in the Fall, our FCAP Board of Directors come together for a time prayer and discussion as they seek God’s heart, provision, and direction for this airline ministry. This year they met on November 6-7 here in Fayetteville, Georgia. The Board and staff, along with spouses, enjoyed a special time of fellowship, sharing, and prayer over dinner together on Monday evening. The official meeting took place from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday. God’s presence was evident as a very full agenda was addressed.
“Membership” in FCAP has been under prayerful discussion and consideration for some time now. At this meeting the Board approved a launch of membership in 2018, and those present became “pioneers” as they were first to sign the official membership document, which includes our “Commitment to Unity” statement. (Pictured l-r above: Joe Ivey, Stephen Watts, LeeAnn Hurrle-Nelson, Jerry Litwiller, Tim Files and Eugene Kraybill. Stephen and LeeAnn were guests at the meeting as prospective Board members.) You will be hearing more from us about “Membership” as we begin the new year. Announcements about other exciting additions and changes in FCAP will be forthcoming as well. Looking forward to seeing what God will do for His glory in the coming days and years.
Here is a recent update from our FCAP family in Frankfurt:
“What a great start to the year 2016! On January 9 we had the privilege of Paul and Claudette Curtas coming by to conduct a whole day seminar on how to be light and salt for Jesus at our work. Even people from outside FCAP work fields came by. Everybody got a more God-sized view of work as Paul helped us to understand how church history let us forget about that view, how to deal with stress at work, with people and so on … and how to stay connected to God’s spirit while at work. Besides good biblical training, his and his wife’s love for HIS kingdom and us is so contagious that we all had great fellowship and fun! Contagious also is our Jesus in FRA to other sheep at our airline and airport. In recent months, Daddy God brought by some of HIS children who have not been at the group for a long time, and also some who did not know about the group yet. Even some new to the Christian faith came by and are making steps toward becoming a disciple of Christ. We look forward to the group becoming continuously stronger in Christ and bigger in size, as Jesus has good plans for us!”
On the evening of January 5, Paul and Claudette Curtas had the blessing of meeting with our FCAP family in Zurich. That group has for many years been a special blessing … and God continues to use them mightily for His glory.
