What is FCAP?

The ministry of FCAP is carried on throughout the airline workplaces of the world by ordinary people who see their work as a partnership with God. FCAP is a fellowship of Christians who identify with one another through a common focus and purpose. We desire to demonstrate how our faith in Jesus Christ will influence how we do our work, how we treat people, and how we respond to the circumstances of our workplace. We are blessed to have both airline and non-airline people who encourage and support the ministry.

Thought for the Work Day

Perspective has to do with how we interpret the things going on around us and how we see our relationship to them. For instance, when an incident happens at work that entails several people, including me, the way I interpret it often determines my influence in it. If I look at it cynically or just ignore it, then God’s glory won’t shine through me.  For us to view circumstances around us correctly and respond appropriately, we need God’s wisdom from above in our hearts and minds. This wisdom is found in God’s written Word and gives us truth that practically applies to life situations. This wisdom must first change us on the inside, then it provides us the ability to respond outwardly in a correct way (1Thessalonians 2:13). Our ministry in the workplace is described as sowing the seeds of God’s wisdom. (PMC) Consider: “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom” (James 3:17-18 then v.13).

This thought was written by Paul M. Curtas, General Director of FCAP.
