What is FCAP?
The ministry of FCAP is carried on throughout the airline workplaces of the world by ordinary people who see their work as a partnership with God. FCAP is a fellowship of Christians who identify with one another through a common focus and purpose. We desire to demonstrate how our faith in Jesus Christ will influence how we do our work, how we treat people, and how we respond to the circumstances of our workplace. We are blessed to have both airline and non-airline people who encourage and support the ministry.
Thought for the Work Day
There is an old saying that goes something like this, “As long as there are tests, there will be prayer in school.” We learn rather quickly though that even after we graduate and enter the workforce the tests never really stop. We must, therefore, be reminded to keep praying, and maybe not for the reason you think. Many believe we are to pray so that the test is removed. James, on the other hand, says that it is the test itself that is used to produce in us a trait uncommon to our nature. That trait is called “steadfastness,” which is having the ability to endure hardship patiently. Do you find yourself being tested at work in ways that reveal your need for this? Enduring various trials is Gods way of teaching us this lesson, and that we ought not to curse the trial but instead find joy in it. Only then can I have the assurance of knowing I am being made complete. (TCF) Consider: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:2-4).
