What is FCAP?
The ministry of FCAP is carried on throughout the airline workplaces of the world by ordinary people who see their work as a partnership with God. We do not have a membership nor are we a club with dues. Rather, FCAP is a fellowship of Christians who identify with one another through a common focus and purpose. We desire to demonstrate how our faith in Jesus Christ will influence how we do our work, how we treat people, and how we respond to the circumstances of our workplace. We are blessed to have both airline and non-airline people who encourage and support the ministry.
Thought for the Day
There are some contemporary thinkers who would lead us to believe that the original disciples of Jesus are the ones who invented the Christian faith after Jesus was dead and gone. They say the issue is not whether Christ arose from the dead or not, but rather claim that the resurrection story was created to be symbolic and inspire us. So let us consider their theory…These disciples of Jesus who fled the scene at His trial somehow got a second wind after He was crucified and buried and decided to create an inspiring faith about Jesus? The probability of this is preposterous! Consider the disciples’ mental and emotional state at the time of Christ’s trial… They were a group of doubtful and disillusioned men who had already started to disband. They themselves later would testify that the drastic change in their lives only hinged on this one fact… they saw Christ appear in His resurrected body and the empty tomb. This event in time and space is what created the Gospel message that transformed their lives, and it would eventually impact the world even to this day. The apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15 (vv 1-6 ff) that Christ was seen not only by His disciples, but that other individuals, even as many as 500 at one time, saw Jesus after His resurrection. His line of reasoning was clear… If you can prove that Christ did not rise from the dead, then our faith is a myth and we of all people should be pitied. It then would be futile to think or consider anything that Jesus said and did. But, if Jesus did rise from the dead, His claim is true and worthy for anyone to consider…Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies…Do you believe this?” John 11:25
